HGV Grab Driver

Role: HGV – Grab Driver

Salary: £16.25 per hour + Overtime  

Location:  Thompsons of Prudhoe, Prudhoe

We are expanding our team and are currently hiring drivers to join our fleet!

As an HGV Driver at Thompsons of Prudhoe, you will be contracted to work 40 hours per week. Overtime is paid at a rate of £24.38 per hour for any hours worked beyond the first 45. 

Key responsibilities: 

• To operate HGV Cat C vehicles, following all HGV driver & traffic laws
• To operate the vehicle safely and professionally
• To drive long or short distances as required
• To help plan schedules & routes with your line manager
• To follow traffic reports and adapt routes as necessary
• To conduct accurate & thorough pre-use defect/cleanliness inspections of your vehicle
• To complete proof of deliveries on a tablet
• To ensure vehicle cab is kept in a clean & tidy condition 

As a Driver at Thompsons of Prudhoe, you will have: 

• A valid HGV Cat C license
• Tachograph card
• Up to date CPC
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience as a HGV/Grab Driver
• Maximum of 6 points on your licence
• Valid right to work in the UK
