Are you organised, curious, and keen to learn how finance helps keep a growing business running smoothly? If you’re ready to build practical skills, gain real workplace experience, and work alongside supportive people, this Finance Apprentice role at Ashcourt Group could be your next step.
We’re looking for an apprentice who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in doing things accurately, and is motivated to learn. This is a great opportunity to develop your accounting and finance foundations through structured training and day-to-day exposure across the finance function.
Finance is at the heart of decision-making. From keeping records in order to supporting the month-end process, your work will help ensure the business has the information it needs to plan, improve, and deliver.
In this role, you’ll be trusted with meaningful tasks, while also being guided by experienced colleagues. You won’t just “watch and learn” — you’ll contribute, ask questions, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.
Day to day, you can expect a mix of learning and hands-on work. Typical duties may include:
You don’t need to be an expert in finance to be successful. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have:
If you’ve previously worked in a customer-facing role, volunteered, completed coursework involving numeracy, or have any experience of handling data, we’d love to hear about it — it all counts.
This is an apprenticeship built around learning in the real world. You’ll gain experience through structured training while developing key employability skills such as professionalism, time management, and confidence with finance-related systems.
As you progress, you’ll build a strong foundation for future opportunities within finance and related business functions. You’ll also benefit from working in a welcoming office environment where development is taken seriously and support is on hand.
This position is based in Low Prudhoe. If you’re local (or able to commute), you’ll join a team that values quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Ashcourt Group prides itself on producing a quality product and service, something that’s reflected in the people who support it. The Group offers employees a range of training and development opportunities alongside providing a welcoming office environment. In short: you’ll be part of a culture that wants you to grow, not just fill a role.
If you’re looking for a Finance Apprenticeship that combines practical experience, support, and real career momentum, we’d encourage you to apply.
To apply: please submit your application in line with the process shown on the Ashcourt careers page. Tell us about yourself, what interests you about finance, and why you think you’d thrive in this role.
We welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a team where attention to detail matters.
