HGV Driver - Concrete Mixer

Role: Concrete Mixer Driver
Salary: £14.70 per hour
Location: Aycliffe Quarry, DL5 6NB

We’re growing our team and are looking for skilled, reliable drivers to join our Concrete Mixer fleet at Ashcourt. If you’re an experienced HGV professional who takes pride in delivering a quality service, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you’ll work a contracted 40-hour week, with overtime paid at £22.12 per hour for any hours worked beyond 45.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Cat C vehicles in full compliance with driver and traffic regulations
• Drive safely and professionally on both short and long-distance routes
• Work with your line manager to plan efficient schedules and routes
• Monitor traffic updates and adjust journeys when needed
• Carry out thorough pre-use vehicle checks, including defect and cleanliness inspections
• Complete proof of delivery documentation using a tablet
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented vehicle cab

What You’ll Bring

• A valid HGV Cat C licence
• Tachograph card and CPC qualification
• At least 1 year of experience as a Concrete Mixer Driver
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• The legal right to work in the UK
